Once again we’re delighted to present a fantastic programme of internationally renowned orchestras alongside an exciting series of concerts by the wonderful Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Musicians from around the world join us to perform audience favourites including Grieg’s Piano Concerto, Elgar’s Enigma Variations, Piano Concerto No. 2 by Rachmaninov and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World” (famously used in the Hovis advert!).

The concert will begin with Mozart’s Magic Flute Overture and will end in fitting style with Tchaikovsky’s elemental Symphony No. 5, famed for its epic finale.

Chloe Hanslip, will perform Bruch’s wonderfully romantic Violin Concerto No. 1 and the second half will feature a definitive performance of Dvořák’s ever popular Symphony No. 9 from the New World. The programme will begin with Janáček’s enchanting Prelude & Pantomime from his opera The Cunning Little Vixen.

This concert: 2 evocative short pieces by Frederick Delius – On Hearing the First Cuckoo of Spring & Summer Night on the River. This will be followed by Beethoven’s most popular piano concerto – his grand and compelling Emperor concerto, performed by the outstanding Ukrainian pianist Maria Pukhlianko.

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra returns to G Live with a programme of masterworks by Dvořák, Mendelssohn and Beethoven. British virtuoso violinist Jack Liebeck brings his ‘flawless technical mastery’ and a ‘beguiling silvery tone’ to Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto.

We are proud to welcome back The Cheryl King Trust as our Charity Partner. The trust aims to remove financial barriers that prevent young people in Surrey learning a musical instrument. Providing bursaries for instruments and singing lessons, as well as grants to local music ensembles, G Live hopes to shine a spotlight on their work, and to inspire more young people across Surrey to experience the joy of making music.
